Biographical Sketch
Dr. Adibi received his B.S.E.E. from Shiraz University (Shiraz, Iran) in 1990. He moved to the United States in 1992, and received his M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology (1994), and California Institute of Technology (1999), respectively.
His Ph.D. research resulted in a breakthrough in persistent holographic storage in photorefractive crystals. He worked as a postdoctoral scholar at California Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2000 in the area of photonic bandgap materials and devices.
He came to Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000. He is conducting both theoretical and experimental research in the areas of holographic storage and photonic bandgap materials. Despite his young career, he is already the author of one book, two pending patents, and about 20 journal papers. He is also the recipient of several awards from professional societies and from Georgia Tech and Caltech.
